Founder's Story
I was sitting at the desk of the car salesman in one of those uncomfortable plastic chairs, looking down at the floor, contemplating the decision I was about to make… The salesman was sitting across from me, having his patience tested while he waited for my decision.

As I stare at the floor, I’m thinking back to the time my dad said “don’t ever buy a car on credit.”

I had done the math, I could afford this car, I really wanted this car. I had worked hard in college and my first few years of my career to enjoy this car.

But I felt guilty… My childhood had led me to this point. My parents had me young and worked hard to afford things for us; everything we did had a component of considering the cost.
Because of this I always felt guilty asking my parents for money and now, for the second time in my life, I am worrying about an Audi purchase.
Flashback to me at the salesman’s desk. I could sense he needed to go home, it was getting late, I needed to make a decision…
Finally, I mustered up the courage to buy the car and a nervous relief came over me. I loved that car and it was totally worth it…

So what finally helped push me to make the purchase? My discipline in budgeting!
I had been budgeting for years at this point. I knew where all my money was going and how much I needed for everything. It gave me the confidence to make this purchase and if I could not afford it, my lyfe experiences and budget would have make me back off.
